Separated from the sea by a narrow strip of land, the lagoon surrounding the hotel provides an exclusive setting and unequalled privacy. From the private beach of the 5-star hotel or rooms with sea views (prestige suites and Junior suites), you’ll be able to spy passing sail boats and ships and enjoy the unique atmosphere of a seaside stay in the south of France.
As you travel along the Pyrenees-Orientales coast, a wide variety of unique environments unfolds before your eyes. From the fine sand beaches near Saint-Cyprien to the rocky coves close to the Spanish border, the waterfront has many surprises in store. The fish market in Port-Vendres, the city of painters of Collioure, the festivals and fireworks in Canet-en-Roussillon, and the day and night markets in Saint-Cyprien... the south of France is home to a diverse atmosphere that makes the Languedoc-Roussillon region so endearing.
Île de la Lagune is everything you’ve ever dreamed of in a hotel. You’ve got all the advantages of being at the seaside while enjoying the hotel’s unique “cocooning” atmosphere. It’s such a pleasure to be surrounded by water. We had a room with a view of the sea–one of the Carita suites–and it was so nice to wake up to the beautiful scenery. Of course, we went to the beach every day thanks to the shuttle. A holiday at the seaside without the inconveniences of the crowd–that’s really the ideal! Not to mention the marine area on the hotel roof, which offers a breathtaking view of the sea. I think you can only find something like this in Languedoc-Roussillon.
